New crop protection active ingredients approved
Monheim – Bayer CropScience has received marketing authorization from the relevant authorities for four innovative active ingredients featured its launch program, which has been under way since 2000.
The herbicidal active ingredient tembotrione received its first registration worldwide, enabling the corn herbicide
Laudis® to be introduced in Austria in time for the spring 2007 season. The novel cereal herbicide active ingredient pyrasulfotole received its first marketing authorization from the United States Environmental Protection Agency and is currently being introduced to the U.S. market under the brand name HuskieTM. The third active ingredient to receive marketing approval was flubendiamide (
Belt®/Fenos®) for insecticides in India. This substance is already registered in the Philippines and Pakistan. The fourth active ingredient, spirotetramat (
Movento®), protects crops against numerous sucking insects. Bayer CropScience plans to have launched a total of 26 new active ingredients between 2000 and 2011.
